Certified Lymphatic Therapist
Having been in a battle with autoimmune issues since my early twenties, I recently embarked upon that which I know now, is my "conscious calling."
I have Graves' Disease, an autoimmune disease that leads to the generalized overactivity of the entire thyroid gland. This condition was the first of several autoimmune disorders that I became plagued with. My traditional medical doctors were discouraged by my declining health, but they could not prevent my mounting symptoms.
Eight years ago, I found Dr. Karen Clickner, a registered naturopath, and she helped to shed light on my autoimmune situation. She helped me connect the dots between my overactive thyroid and my underperforming immune system. Lymphatic drainage was a big part of my regimen, and it was central to restoring balance within my body.
Years after being a patient, I was given the opportunity to become a certified lymphatic drainage therapist. Amazingly, the tenets of lymphatic drainage tie fairly well to my experience as both a drainage engineer intern in college and as a power systems engineer after graduating. Both theory and application translate beautifully to the human body - who knew that my engineering background combined with my autoimmune health challenges would lead to my purpose-driven call?!
The lymphatic drainage method I use is a European state-of-the-art technique using machinery and energetically-organic products. I incorporate gentle suction, light, and color - the combination of these helps to decongest the lymphatic system. I believe, as traditional Chinese medicine does, that the body is not only matter but energy. So the technique I use is very gentle but highly effective.
A strong Immunity does not guarantee perfect health, but it does enable the body to build up a resistance while restoring balance and harmony to your body. Lymphatically speaking, it is my passion to share my knowledge and this therapy with everyone. Let's create some space in your body and let's get things moving!
